I wanted to have a wedding that was not only full of great memories for me, but for our friends and family as well. So when I when to pick out gifts, I picked out things that they could remember it by. I wanted them to have something that will help them remember what a great time they had at our reception and how beautiful our ceremony was. I was able to find everything I needed for my wedding reception as far as accessories go.
My reception table centerpieces had flowers and scented candles surrounded by lace in a ceramic candle holder. The place card holders, which I also discovered on the Internet, looked exquisite next to the flower arrangements.
I elected to get place card holders with lovely beads on them that doubled as picture frames for everyone to take with them. As far as gifts for our guests went, I made sure I gave them all practical favors that would also make great personalized keepsake gifts. If you’re giving a present anyway, I’ve always felt that you might as well get something that they can make use of somehow. Otherwise, the recipient of the gift will most likely forget about it shortly after they get it. I did my best to make sure that the gifts handed out to our relatives and other loved ones were going to be remembered. So I chose bistro coffee mugs for each of our friends and family’s gift. They are very decorative and a coffee mug is something everyone can use. They came in their own little packages, so I didn’t have to worry about finding favor boxes, I just ordered some festive hang tags to put on each one.
I found so much online that I could use for our wedding reception. The cake topper we got ‘took the cake,’ so to speak. I decided to go with something with special meaning to us.
We were playing football together the first time we met, in a friend’s backyard.
