Memory Books

There are so many events in your life that you want to hold on to, that you can look back on later in life with fond memories. If only the bridal or baby showers that family and friends gave you , or your wedding day could go on forever. I keep these memories alive with my memory books, which are some of my most treasured possessions. I have my girls night out discount memory book from the night my sister and my friends threw me a fantastic wedding shower. I’ve got so many great pics of that very special night I shared with my friends. The pretty things they had arranged at the party and the exciting places we went to, that evening, were all caught on film. The camera doesn’t lie: we had a blast. Some of the exotic male dancers we saw posed for a couple of shots. They were really awesome up there on the stage. That is definitely a night I’ll never forget, that was the first and only time I’ve ever been to a place that had male dancers. They may not be as famous as the Chippendale dancers, but these were more than entertaining, that’s for sure.
I got a wedding memory book along with everything else I was buying when I was preparing for our wedding. I’m glad I got one with as many pages as I did. Actually, I had to get two of them to hold all of the pics. I ran out of space in the albums before the pictures were all filed. One album had a space for our wedding guests to write their names in it. They were both lovely personalized memory books with my first initial on the left, the initial of our last name, and on the right my husbands first initial. The ribbon made of satin and the special fabric made the album have a very classy touch. We had to get more pages for them, and they offer a supply for that too.
A lot of life-changing events are recorded in my photo albums. I’m sure as the years progress I’ll have even more keepsake memory books filling up my closet shelves. At the moment, I have books from my baby shower, wedding, and bachelorette party. My boy is one year old and my daughter’s about to turn three. We got her a pink book and him a blue one because we decided to find out ahead of time what sex they’d be. I keep everything from their christenings to their first steps in these books. I also keep their birth certificates and footprints in their baby memory books along with several pictures of their beautiful little faces. I slipped an official invitation from the showers and wedding in each album as well. I could open up a photo gallery with all of the pictures I have stored away.
In spite of my husband’s frequent grumbling, I will keep those albums in my closet, because they are mementos of days that were special to me. Of course, now I’m going to be shooting home videos on a camcorder that I recently purchased, so I’m focusing on making space on some shelving in the living room. With all the videos I plan to record and all the picture albums and memory books I’ve acquired, not to mention all that I intend to aquire, I’ll probably have to make more room in other closets around the house. What can I say, my recollections of the past mean a lot to me. These are the most precious years in a mothers life and I’m not letting anything get by me.
